It is a tragic and sad time for the people of Ukraine and the world.

At Rotary, we are deeply concerned by the deteriorating situation in Ukraine and the escalating loss of life and humanitarian hardship there. Continued military action against Ukraine will not only devastate the region, but also risk spreading tragic consequences across Europe and the world.

As one of the world’s largest humanitarian organizations, we have made peace the cornerstone of our global mission. We join the international community in calling for an immediate cease fire, withdrawal of Russian forces, and a restoration of diplomatic efforts to resolve this conflict through dialogue.

In the past decade, Rotary clubs in Ukraine, Russia and nearby countries have transcended national differences and have actively engaged in peace-building projects to promote goodwill and to marshal assistance for the victims of war and violence. Today, our thoughts are with our fellow Rotary members and others in Ukraine coping with these tragic events. Rotary International will do everything in its power to bring aid, support and peace to the region.

Rotary Awareness Days

February: Peace & Conflict Prevention/Resolution

Conflict and violence displace millions of people each year. Half of those killed in conflict are children, and 90 percent are civilians. Through our service projects, peace fellowships, and scholarships, our members are taking action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, inequality, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources.
CONGRATULATIONS!!

UPDATE: 9/2/2021. The Wine Festival has been POSTPONED

Join us on September 18, 2021 as we "Sip Away Again"!

This year's Wine Festival will benefit the Washington Township Police Department's Community Caretaking Program, by outfitting a special community outreach vehicle. The Department is planning to expand its outreach activities by equipping a van to be used for activities such as holiday meal deliveries to those in need, neighborhood ice cream giveaways, and picnic-like events.  The Department has acquired a used van for this purpose.  The Rotary Club of Washington Township Foundation has committed to raising funds for the purchase of refrigeration, storage and other needed equipment for the vehicle.

The Washington Township Rotary Club along with the Williamstown club, teamed up to provide over 1,500 Thanksgiving dinners for our local community

Wonderful volunteers included Washington Township teachers, Rotary club members, and  employees of Monroe Parks & Recs

A Sincere Thank you!!
